My favorite day of the year is upon us…a day that I am surprised is not more important and more celebrated by Christians everywhere. Sure, we go to a service…but are we really celebrating what has occurred in the tomb? Is going to a service and going to a family member’s house for dinner really what Easter is about…or is there something more. Having a son…I am trying to think on ways that he can understand the importance of Easter.
When you are reading through the New Testament there is one phrase that seems to have a constant presence within the text. It is especially seen in one author in particular, who uses this verse at the beginning or the end of almost every epistle he writes. That author would be none other than Paul of Tarsus.
There are seasons in everyone’s life where nothing seems to be going right, where nothing you do makes it better, and everything that is done feels wrong. I had felt this way deep down inside for a very long time…not knowing how to deal with it, or express it.
