Hi, my name is Justin. I began my faith walk earnestly at the age of 14 after attending an Acquire the Fire youth conference. From that day forward my life changed dramatically. Every previously conceived plan or idea about what I wanted to do with my life was jettisoned and I began to seriously study the Bible. Ever since I came to faith I have been obsessed with knowing the truth of God’s word and learning how it applies to real everyday people. I am married to my wife of 18 years, Lisa and have a 10 and 5 year-old boys. I love to read, write, play video games, do anything techie, and spend time with my family. I have been on a journey that is partially catalogued on this website showing how far I have come in better understanding Scripture as well as the heart of Christ. I consider myself deconstructed out of Evangelicalism and into a more holistic Christian faith that takes the whole of Christian history, science, and sound biblical scholarship and attempts to draw conclusions that allow for the maximum amount of grace possible while also calling people out for violating God’s standards regarding how we treat one another (especially in his name).
